OBITUARY:
Barbara Ann Chain, a longtime Beacon and Wappingers Falls area resident, passed away peacefully at her home on April 2, 2026; at the age of 84. She was born on February 15, 1942 in Beacon, NY, daughter of the late Harold & Marie (Fleming) Niver.
Barbara worked for over 25-years at the Wal-Mart Supercenter in Fishkill, NY; in the shoe department until she retired. She thoroughly enjoyed it.
Barbara is survived by her three sons and one daughter: David Chain, Randy Chain, Victor Chain and Robin Brenner. She is also survived by her two granddaughters Amanda Walsh and Melissa Long, and two great-grandsons Hunter Walsh and Wesley Long; her sister Linda Russell also survives her.
Along with her beloved parents, Barbara was predeceased by her husband Victor Chain on January 7, 2017.
Her Family gathered privately for a graveside service in the Fishkill Rural Cemetery, 801 Route 9, Fishkill, New York. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of DELEHANTY FUNERAL HOME, 64 East Main Street, Wappingers Falls, New York.
