OBITUARY
David T. Henion ‘Dave’, a life-long Poughkeepsie resident, passed away peacefully on August 5, 2025; at the age of 66 years old. He was born in Poughkeepsie, NY on May 20, 1959, son of the late Walter James & Mary Ann (nee Eckhoff) Henion. David worked 20-years at Arlington Central School District, as a Custodial Supervisor, a role he took great pride in until his retirement. David is survived by his devoted life partner Mary Arrese-Aho; her daughter Nadine and two-grandsons. He is also survived by his beloved “little sister” Patrice Higgins (Henion) and beloved nephew Eric Henion. Along with his parents, David was predeceased by his two brothers, Jimmy Henion and Eric Henion. David had a special place in his heart for Mary’s daughter Nadine, who he treasured as if she was his own. David is quoted as saying “the happiest days of my life are when I spend time with Nadine’s boys. I take great joy in loving them, sharing wisdom with them, and just enjoying them.” Arrangements were entrusted to the care of the DELEHANTY FUNERAL HOME of 64 East Main Street, Wappingers Falls, New York. So very sorry for your loss. My sincerest condolences to All his Family and Close Acquaintances. I remember when he was a Bus Monitor years ago. A really nice person. I also worked with his Dad who was a Busdriver like myself. RIP David.
