Debra L. Boyer

1956 - 2026

OBITUARY:

Debra L. Boyer, a longtime resident of Poughkeepsie, NY, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on February 5th, 2026; at the age of 69. She was born in Rhinebeck, NY on June 11, 1956, daughter of Kristine and Chester Holsapple.

Debra was a woman of remarkable strength, unwavering determination, and resilience. She met all challenges head-on. Those who knew her will remember her stubborn streak – not as a flaw, but as proof of her fierce loyalty and the depth of her resilience. Beneath the strong exterior was a heart full of love – steady, protective, and deeply devoted to her family.

Debra worked for the Dutchess County Attorneys Office for over 25 years. Her career was a point of pride, and she was known for her dedication, tireless work ethic and straightforward nature. In her free time, she loved trips to the casino and sunny days spent on a beach.

She is predeceased by her life-long partner, John Di’Ottaviano, and her mother, Kristine Moore.

Debra is survived by her four daughters, Carissa Rodriguez (Joe Rodriguez), Brianne Nenni (Anthony Nenni), Ashley Boyer, and Taylor Di’Ottaviano. Her brother Craig Holsapple, wife Fran Holsapple and nephew Ryan, also survive her. She was also a proud and loving “nana” to her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Alyssa Boyer, Nika Rodriguez, Brandon Rodriguez, JJ Rodriguez, Xayoni Rodriguez, Hannah Nenni, James Nenni, Amaya Vazquez, Emilia Maulsby.
