OBITUARY:

Dilys Clark (née Hunt), born July 31, 1932 in Cambridge, England, passed away on July 1, 2026 surrounded by her loved ones. For those who knew her, there is no doubt that the few paragraphs in an obituary will never be able to capture who she was as a family matriarch, friend, and person. She attended St. Katherine’s College in London, England to become an educator, a role that she carried with her throughout her life, both in and out of the classroom. After moving to Wappingers Falls, NY in 1963 she joined the Poughkeepsie Sports Car Club, the New Hamburg Yacht Club, and County Players Community Theater, where she was the costumer for over 30 years and an honorary lifetime member. Dilys was quick witted, loved to share stories, and was passionate about family history, spending many hours researching connections and sharing what she found with others. She was the Head Nursery School Teacher at New Hackensack Nursery School starting in 1967, worked at IBM starting in 1978, and resumed her role as a teacher at The Little Angels in 1992. Dilys is survived by her children, Nick Clark (Peri Pomposello), Jill Clark, (Dan Wisneski, 2023), her grandchildren, Lauren Clark, Chrissy Rivers (Seth Rivers), Hunter Wisneski, and her great grandchildren, Liam and Theo Rivers. Services will not be held due to her threat of haunting us if anyone tried to make a fuss.
