Edward M. Walsh passed away in Poughkeepsie, NY on Tuesday April 5th, after a well-fought battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his partner and 2 sons. He was 73 years old
Edward M. Walsh was born on March 19, 1949 to John Walsh Sr. and Genevieve Walsh in Ossining, NY.

His partner Carol Bradbury met Edward while they both were attending the Putnam Hospital fair. Since then, they have been by each other's side for 23 years.
Edward and his former spouse Carol Kennedy lovingly raised 2 children in Dover Plains, NY. Dad will be dearly missed by his children and grandchildren.
Edward is survived by his partner Carol and his two sons and their families; Edward Walsh, Scott Walsh as well as his 2 grandchildren Aubree and Layla Walsh.
Edward will be deeply missed by his siblings and his numerous nieces and nephews, and the rest of his large extended family. His absence will be felt year-round, but especially during the family's regular large gatherings which will be bereft of his stories, jokes and warm presence.

Those in our hearts will never be forgotten
Dear Carol B, Ed & Courtney, Aubree & Layla, Scott, and extended Family,
I am deeply sorry to hear of your loss and offer my sincere condolences.
It was always a pleasure to see Mr. Walsh at family events. He was down to earth, funny, kind and a real gentleman. And he adored his granddaughters. I have a photograph of him lovingly cradling Layla in his arms when she dozed off at her 1st birthday party. That photo says it all! May your memories and his love for each of you bring you comfort during this difficult time.

It's been years since I've seen Eddie but he was a friend of mine. When I was a kid he would drive by my house every night and we would sit and talk. I have fond memories of him,.
I didn't have many opportunities to spend time with Mr. Walsh, but when I did I always had good conversations and laughs. He will be missed very much. My sincere condolences to Ed and Scott and to the rest of the family. Sincerely Susan Barnes and family
