OBITUARY

Eileen B. Fusaro, a life-long resident of Wappingers Falls, NY, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on March 21, 2026, at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie; at the age of 74. She was born in Poughkeepsie, NY on August 24, 1951, daughter of the late Michael & Catherine (Connolly) Barry.


On September 16, 1972, at the Church of St. Mary in Wappingers Falls, she married John D. Fusaro, who predeceased her after 45-years of marriage on March 1, 2018.

Eileen worked as a registered nurse for many years at various health care facilities, until she retired.


Eileen was a life-long communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Wappingers Falls; she faithfully attended Daily Mass and always prayed with the Rosary. She was a member of the Legion of Mary; she also taught religious education (CCD) at St. Mary’s for many years. Her hobbies were very much her Faith, she loved her Catholic Faith and her Church. Most important to her was her family, especially spending time with her grandchildren whom she cherished dearly.


Eileen is survived by her four children: Matthew J. Fusaro, Jean Marie Glover, John M. (Sharon) Fusaro and Allison Fusaro; her five grandchildren, Alexandria, Isabella, Abigail, Jacob and Mikayla. She is also survived by her 4 brothers, Stephen, Joseph, Daniel and John Barry; her 6 sisters, Alice Hogan, Kathleen Boucher, Jean Barry, Patricia McKinney, Mary Vallo and Christine Oliveri.


Along with her husband and parents, Eileen was predeceased by her 4 brothers and 1 sister.


Her Family will receive Friends on Tuesday, March 24th from 3-7PM at DELEHANTY FUNERAL HOME, 64 East Main St., Wappingers Falls, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10AM, Wednesday, March 25th at the Church of St. Mary, 11 Clinton St., Wappingers Falls, followed by interment in St. Mary’s Parish Cemetery.
