Gary Stafford

1942 - 2026

OBITUARY:

Gary Stafford, a resident of Hyde Park, NY and formerly of Mamaroneck, NY; passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on June 30, 2026; at the age of 84. He was born in New York, NY on February 20, 1942, son of the late Michael & Frances (Cornell) Stafford.

Gary served in the United States Army from 1964 and until 1966, when he received an honorable discharge for his service from the Vietnam Era.

On September 14, 1969 at St. Vito Church in Mamaroneck, NY, he married Rossana Baglioni, who survives him at home.

Gary owned and operated a driving school, the Halstead School of Driving in Mamaroneck, NY; until he retired.

He was an avid collector of knives, coins and various war memorabilia. Gary also was a an animal lover & enjoyed boating.

Along with his beloved wife of 56-years, Rossana; Gary is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Diana and Joseph Petrocca, and his grandson Joseph Petrocca Jr..

His Family will gather to remember and honor his life on Saturday, July 11, 2026 in the Ferncliff Cemetery Chapel, 280 Secor Road, Hartsdale, NY at 1:00PM where a prayer service will be offered and military honors will be conducted by the United States Army Honor Guard.
