1932 - 2024
OBITUARY
Grace Elizabeth “Carr” DiGregorio was called home to our Lord peacefully with her loved ones by her side on February 19, 2024. Born in Lake Katrine, NY on August 18,1932 to Albert O. Carr and Grace “Denning” Carr. Grace went on to graduate high school and attend cosmetology school. She worked as a hair dresser, then transitioned to manager at a beauty salon and then finished her career working at IBM. Grace married the love of her life Nino D. DiGregorio on June 13, 1953. Together they shared a beautiful passion for family. They led a life of providing and caring for those in need. Grace and Nino brought 3 children into this world, Daniel, JoAnn and Thomas. Grace is now reunited in heaven with her husband Nino D. DiGregorio, her son Daniel P. DiGregorio, her son (in-law) Christopher S. Kelly, her nephew William Carr, her parents and siblings. While that homecoming was certainly joyous, Grace is survived by her daughter JoAnn (DiGregorio) Kelly, son Thomas DiGregorio, her beloved grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends. Grace’s love can be felt far and wide by all who spent time in her presence. A devout member of St Mary’s Catholic Church, she filled her days with family and friends. Always willing to lend a hand, and to help raise the spirits of those she loved. She enjoyed playing cards, Bingo and getting fancied up for any event. Grace was a lover of adventures, she enjoyed traveling with friends and wanted to see as much of this world as she could. She never turned down an invitation to spend time with her grandchildren as they grew up and began families on their own. One of her proudest moments was becoming God Parent to her Great Grandson. Faith and family were her two strongest pillars of life. We will honor “Amazing Grace” on Monday February 26, 2024. Calling hours from 9:30-10:30am, followed by a funeral mass at 11am at St. Mary’s Church in Wappingers Falls. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Grace’s nameto the American Cancer society or to the Angelman Syndrome Foundation (ASF). The world is a better place because she walked it. Forever in our Hearts, we love you GiGi.
