Harold S. Cohen
November 29, 1935 – February 22, 2025
It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Harold S. Cohen.
Harold S. Cohen, 89, of Beacon, NY passed away on February 22, 2025, at Northern Dutchess Hospital surrounded by his loved ones.
Born in Bronx, NY on November 29, 1935, the son of Abraham and Rose Cohen.
Harold enjoyed the simple things in life, spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren and friends. Always smiling, always positive and we could always count on him to tell a silly joke.
The love that he gave to all of us will be cherished forever and his one-of-a-kind sense of humor will echo in our hearts and minds. We are all better having known him.
Harold was an avid fan of the Yankee’s, and he enjoyed watching them in his free time.
Surviving is his loving wife Judith Cohen of Beacon, NY, daughter Shelly White and husband Steven White of Poughkeepsie, NY., son Daniel Posta and wife Dawn Posta of Poughkeepsie, NY., daughter Susan Marino and husband John Marino of Wappingers Falls, NY., daughter Audra Brown and partner Vinnie Gentile of N. Lauderdale, FL. He was by predeceased by his parents Abraham and Rose, first wife Robin Cohen and son Stephen Posta.
His grandchildren include Lindsey White, Noah White, Jessica Irigoyen, Daniel Brown, Daniel Posta Jr., Angela Marino, Nova Marino, great grandchildren Peyton and Kiernan Irigoyen, Alexis and Anna Frey.
Harold’s grandchildren were the highlight of his life. He kept up with their lives, birthdays and special events on social media. He was always creating and printing photo collages of his family to display around his home. They will remember his gentle demeanor, silly personality and positivity.
Devoted husband, father and proud grandfather he will truly be missed by all.
