Henry F. Paris

1927 - 2023

OBITUARY

On September 27, 2023, Henry F. Paris passed away in Vassar Hospital with his family around him. Predeceased by his wife, Veronica of sixty years, his son, Jeremiah, granddaughter, Tara, son-in-law, Larry Nicastro, Jr., brother, Frank, and sister, Florence. Survived by his sons Robert (Lorraine) and Jack, two daughters Veronica (Mark) and Mary, six grandchildren (JD, Audra (Dan), Larry (Kissy), Vicky (Bryan), Elizabeth, and Lee. Henry and Veronica were also blessed with seven great grandchildren (Riley, Nicholas, Claire, Keegan, Rose, Tara, Brandon, Ashley, and Steven).

Surviving Henry is sister-in-law, Denise, and Goddaughter, Caroline (Donald), niece, Colleen (Chris), and nephew (Clay) of Vermont. Many large gatherings, vacations, and parties with many of Veronica and Henry's nieces, nephews, cousins and their families were a norm. Family was his passion. Hank was born to Frank and Antoinette Paris in Yonkers, New York where he grew up with his brother and sister. Served in the Navy, graduated from Syracuse University and City College with a masters in electrical engineering, taught at MIT, and pursued a career at AT&T. Henry married Veronica on April 23, 1955, and soon they settled and raised their family in Valhalla, NY.

Henry was an amazing husband, father, and grandfather always providing for his family. We all went on hikes, walks, did yardwork together, rides in the car, trips to the airport to watch the planes take off, don't forget our Beach Lake vacations, the family parties at the Smith house, and our trips to Playland in Rye, NY. He golfed with his brother Frank regularly before his growing family took him in many different directions.

Henry will be missed terribly, he was our rock, never a bad word about anyone, and a positive force in our family. A strong man of his faith and lived everyday by God's word. We will always remember his smile, kindness, and selflessness.
