1939-2021
Isabel Santiago Algarin, lovingly known as Chave, passed away in Poughkeepsie, NY on May 5, 2021 of natural causes. She was 81 years old.
Isabel was born on November 19,1939 to Tomasa Algarin and Luis Santiago in Ponce, PR.
Isabel is survived by her sister/caregiver, Aida Rosario Algarin; and sister, Ramona Pent. She was predeceased by her Parents; her sister, Carmen Rosario Algarin; and brother, Julio Santiago Algarin.
Titi Chave loved sitting and listening to the radio, news, and praying for her family and friends. She had a wonderful memory and was considered the family historian. She loved to reminisce and make others laugh.
Titi Chave will also be deeply missed by her two sisters and her numerous nieces and nephews. Her absence will be felt during family gatherings which will be absent of her stories, jokes, and warm presence.
Isabel will be cremated and her life will be celebrated at a small family gathering.
