OBITUARY
Janet Ramondo (Dydo) passed away peacefully on October 31st, 2022.
Born Janet Dydo August 18, 1939 in Brooklyn NY, she was the daughter of Stanley and Angelina Dydo (Muratore). In July of 1957, she married her first love, Joseph S Ramondo and resided in Brooklyn NY until moving to Poughkeepsie NY in 1965. Mr. Ramondo predeceased her in 1974. In 1985 she met the love of her life, Joseph F Volnick who predeceased her in 2013. Janet worked for Kmart Corporation in Poughkeepsie and Canteen Corporation before retiring in 2000 when she and Mr. Volnick became full time grandparents and caregivers to their granddaughter. She enjoyed the little things in life, but her true love was her children, who she loved unconditionally, her family and close friends. She is survived by her children, Joseph A Ramondo and daughter in law Rhonda Ramondo of Milton NY, her son Michael Ramondo of Fishkill NY, daughter Dena Ann Ramondo of Pawling NY, daughter Christine Ramondo and fiance Christopher Sacco of Portland TX. Her grandchildren, Vinny and wife Ashley who gave her great grandchildren Kayden and Cora of Milton NY. Granddaughter Ashley A Ramondo and fiance Matthew Pompei of Carmel NY. She is survived by her sister Dolores Fasulo of Staten Island NY, Maryann Graziano of Virginia Beach, VA in addition to 17 nieces and nephews, her sister Angelina DeProspo predeceased in 2005. Visitation will be for immediate family at Delahanty Funeral Home in Wappingers Falls, NY on Friday, November 4th, 2022 from 11:00am-1:00pm, followed by a Catholic burial at St. Mary’s Church in Wappingers Falls NY at 1:30pm.
