OBITUARY

Joan R Anderson passed away in Wappingers Falls, NY on November 2nd 2021, after a brief battle with cancer... She was 84 years old.


Joanie was born on May 11,1937 to Hans and Laura Redl in Poughkeepsie, NY.


On June 19, 1982, she married Edward Anderson, the love of her life.


She worked at IBM as a Systems Analyst in Poughkeepsie for 24 years. It was there she met Eddie, who predeceased her in 2020.


Joanie loved golfing and traveling as well as her snowbird home in Boynton Beach FL.


Joanie is survived by her 3 children; Robin West (Jeffrey) of Hyde Park NY, Roxanne O’Harte (Tommy) of Tequesta FL, Rodney Dingee (Phyllis) of Albany NY. She is also survived by her 4 step-children; Chris Terwilliger (Doug) of Poughkeepsie NY, Gail Morse (Dan) of York ME, Michael Anderson (Patti) of Wappingers NY, Charlotte DeNenno (Dick) of Landenberg PA, as well as many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.


Joanie is survived by her brothers Herbert Redl (Susan) of Pleasant Valley NY, Frank Redl (Janet) of Pleasant Valley NY & Richard Redl (Chris) of Poughkeepsie NY.


She was predeceased by her brothers Carl & Donald Redl as well as her sister Ruth Mesuda.


Our family would like to express their thanks for the special care given by Hospice and Hands on Healing.


Calling hours will be held at Delehanty Funeral Home in Wappingers Falls NY on Thursday November 11th from 4-7 PM.


A Mass of Christian burial will take place at St Mary's Church in Wappingers Falls NY on Friday November 12th at 10 AM.


In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hudson Valley Hospice in Joan’s name.
