OBITUARY

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of John Frank Aiello, of Pompano Beach, FL, and previous long-time resident of Wappingers Falls, NY, on May 9, 2025 at the age of 93. John is survived by his sons Joseph Aiello (Nancy) and Anthony Aiello (John), and daughter Lisa Aiello Nafe (Ben). His spirit continues through his grandchildren Christina, Jennifer, Lucas, Ann Marie and great granddaughter Maddie. He is survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews whom he loved so deeply.  John was predeceased by his beloved wife, Maria Aiello.

John was born to the late Joseph B. and Antonietta (Iannini) Aiello on January 19, 1932, in Poughkeepsie, NY.  As a Veteran he proudly served in the U.S. Military.  He married Maria DeSantis on June 12, 1960.  He worked at Western Printing for 30 years, along with various positions until his retirement.  John was a cherished member of our family, known for his unwavering love and devotion to those closest to him. His happiest moments were spent surrounded by family, where his joy and warmth were felt by all.   He found great joy in traveling to visit family and friends, cherishing every opportunity to connect with loved ones near and far. He also had a deep passion for preserving his family’s legacy, dedicating time and care to researching and compiling the rich history of those who came before him.

John was the kindest person, always greeting everyone with the biggest smile right up until his passing. His generosity and compassion touched the lives of many, leaving a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Dad lived his life as a beacon of hope, always finding the silver lining no matter how dark the clouds. His smile came easily, and so did his laughter— warm, genuine, and often contagious. He approached each day with an open heart and an unshakeable belief that something good was always just around the corner. To him, challenges were simply opportunities in disguise, and mistakes were stepping stones to growth.

His positivity was powerful. It shaped how he loved, how he worked, and how he taught us to see the world. He taught us to rise after we fall, to find joy in small things, and to treat every person with kindness and respect. Whether it was offering a word of encouragement, lending a helping hand, or simply listening with his full attention. Dad made people feel seen, valued, and loved.

From him, we learned that true strength lies in grace, that every person is worthy of compassion, and that a grateful heart can weather any storm. His legacy is not only in the stories we tell or the memories we hold dear, but in the way we now strive to live — with hope, courage, and love.

Though our hearts ache with his absence, we are comforted by the light he left behind. In every sunrise, every kind gesture, and every moment we choose optimism over fear, he lives on.

We will miss him deeply, remember him always, and carry forward his spirit — bright, joyful, and endlessly loving.

Rest well, Dad. You were our greatest teacher, our steady guide, and our best cheerleader. Thank you for showing us how to live a life full of kindness, strength, and love. You will forever inspire us.
