OBITUARY

Joyce Irene Fitzpatrick (Wickham), a cherished member of the Wappingers Falls community, passed away on July 8, 2024, at the age of 81. Born on March 20, 1943, in Brooklyn, NY. Joyce dedicated 40 years of her life working for a local medical practice, retiring to spend more time with her beloved family and to enjoy her hobbies. Known for her warm and vibrant personality, Joyce was deeply loved by all who knew her. She was a member of St. Mary's Church in Wappingers Falls, where she found great solace and community. Joyce relished her time playing golf, traveling, reading, and cherished her Fridays with the girls. Above all, her grandchildren were the light of her life, and she seized every opportunity to create lasting memories with them. Joyce is survived by her son, Darcy Terralavoro and his wife Tracy; daughter, Dawn Terralavoro-Short and her husband Timothy; grandchildren, Joseph his wife Kim, Sam, Jake, Timothy, Isabella, and lan; sisters, Florence Sekunna and Phyllis Harris with her husband Hank. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, Sidney and Veronica Wickham; son, Dante Joseph Terralavoro Jr.; and her husbands, Dante Joseph Terralavoro and William John Fitzpatrick. A gathering to honor and celebrate Joyce's life will be held on Sunday, July 14th, 2024, from 3 to 7 PM at Delehanty Funeral Home, located at 64 East Main Street, Wappingers Falls, NY 12590. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or Shriners Hospital for Children, in memory of Joyce. Delehanty Funeral Home of Wappingers Falls, NY, is assisting the family during this difficult time. Joyce's legacy of love, laughter, and kindness will forever be remembered by those she touched.
