OBITUARY
Kaaren L. Moretti, aged 79 passed away peacefully on May 31, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was the daughter of Louis and Katherine Diehl. Kaaren was a beloved mother, wife, grandmother, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Kaaren was born on June 7, 1944, in Poughkeepsie, NY. She worked for St. Francis Hospital and the Wappingers Central School District for many years; she genuinely enjoyed all of the children with whom she worked. Kaaren was well known for her love for her family; they truly meant the world to her! Her presence in a room always made those around her feel welcomed and loved. You could always count on her for a good laugh, a quick dance, and a meaningful conversation. Kaaren is survived by her loving husband Leonard A. Moretti Sr., her children Dawn Bracchi (Ron), Lorie Slinskey (Jeff), Debbie Pelley, Leonard Moretti Jr. (Kacey), Lynea McKnight (Scott), and Angela Minard (Jason), along with her dear sister Brenda VonBurg, and many nieces and nephews, especially Tommy Croshier, who was always there for her. She was a cherished grandmother of sixteen grandchildren and an adoring great grandmother of ten great grandchildren. Her memory will be treasured and highly regarded by all who knew her. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Delehanty Funeral Home in Wappingers Falls, NY; a Mass of Catholic burial took place at Our Lady of the Rosary St. Peter’s Church, and committal was at St. Peter’s Cemetery.
