OBITUARY:

Lee Ann Marie Femenella, a longtime resident of Wappingers Falls, NY, passed away at her home on February 3, 2026; at the age of 69. She was born on January 17, 1957 in Brooklyn, NY, daughter of the late Raymond Patrick & Catherine P. (Taylor) Close.

Lee Ann worked at the Taconic Rehabilitation and Nursing in Beacon, NY; until she retired.

LeeAnn enjoyed knitting and crocheting; she also enjoyed making recipe books for family & friends. She will be remembered as an amazing cook. She also loved animals, and feeding the wildlife around her home from the squirrels.

Lee Ann is survived by her beloved son, Jonathan Femenella and his wife Ericia of Texas; her three grandchildren, Gabriel, Julian and Hallie; her sister Cheryl Close, and her brother Leonard Close. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and her beloved cat ‘Buttons’. Sadly, she was recently predeceased by her other cat ‘Charmer’ who awaits Lee Ann’s homecoming.

Along with her parents, Lee Ann was predeceased by her sister Melody Ann Gerkaris.

Her Family & Friends will gather on Saturday, February 7, 2026 from 2-6 PM at the DELEHANTY FUNERAL HOME, 64 East Main Street, Wappingers Falls; where a Prayer Service will be held 3PM, and a private cremation will follow.
