OBITUARY
Wappingers Falls – Linda Rose Koch, 67, passed away on Thursday, February 4, 2021 at Vassar Hospital after a long battle with cancer. She was born on April 15, 1953 in New York Hospital in Manhattan and was the daughter of the late Kurt Laxgang and Alice Gail. Her first job was as a telephone operator at New York Telephone in 1971. She worked at NYT and AT&T for 26 years. On May 8, 1982 she married Steven P. Koch, her best friend and love of her life, whom she met at the phone company. Linda is survived by her husband of 38 years and daughters Laura of Wappingers Falls and Pamela and her fiancée, Tizo Maduro of Buffalo N.Y.; as well as her sister Deborah Smith and her companion, Marion Koral who live in Florida; in addition to her mother-in-law, Patricia Koch, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Robert and Nadine Koch and their children, Catherine and Nathaniel; and the countless friends she made wherever she went through her journey of life.
Linda loved laughing, traveling and meeting new people, which she did often with her husband as they traveled and cruised with the Free and Accepted Masons around the state and elsewhere. She was also an animal lover who was always with a four legged companion or two. She loved music and going to concerts and dancing to the oldies wherever she was. She is greatly missed and forever in our hearts.
Calling hours will be at Delahanty Funeral home, 64 East Main Street, Wappingers Falls, NY 12590 on Sunday February 7, 2021, from 3PM to 7PM. A memorial service will be held at a future date.
