OBITUARY Lorin McGregor, of Highland, died at Vassar Brothers Medical Center on August 20, 2021. She was 62.
Born in Poughkeepsie, she was the daughter of the late Robert Shampine and Patricia Shampine. She was a 1977 graduate of Roy C. Ketcham High School. A career postal employee, she worked at post offices in Poughkeepsie, Arlington, and Highland. Lorin loved animals, rescuing many cats during her lifetime.
Lorin is survived by her mother, Patricia Shampine, of Poughkeepsie, former husband and lifelong friend, Christopher McGregor, of Warren, Ohio, son CJ McGregor, of New York City, daughter Megan McGregor, of Washington, D.C., sisters Devon McNair (John), Robyn Shampine, and Patti Shampine, de facto Shampine sister Linda Hogan, three aunts, two nieces, and several cousins.
Services will be private. Donations are welcome in her memory to the Alzheimer’s Association and Hudson Valley Hospice.
