Luis was my very good friend. He got the greatest pleasure in sneaking up on me and roared with laughter when he thought he caught me off guard. He would oftentimes see me in the lobby of our building and say "Hello Lady", even though he knew my name. Our conversations were refreshing. As an elder, he was solid. He was instrumental in getting me to become a part of the Wappingers Falls Spanish congregation when there was a need. He was always approachable and above all, reasonable. I miss talking to him and I look forward to having more conversations in the very near future, when no one will say "I am sick". (Isaiah 33:24) - Fleurette Anderson

I was privileged to know Brother Sierra for several years. We lived at the same apartment complex in Poughkeepsie. He was always so cheerful and positive...always smiling. Many mornings, I'd look out our first floor window and see him with the Service group, getting ready to go out in the ministry. I enjoyed our many conversations and am looking forward to resuming them when we meet again in the new system. John 5:28, 29; Revelation 21:4. Irene Barbuto & family Poughkeepsie South Congregation

Looking back now, we are truly blessed to have shared beautiful moments with our dear brother Sierra and his lovely wife Laura. His zeal for Jehovah's work was contagious as was his laughter. We will never forget his fine example of faithful service and wise counsel. He would transport us back to the "old days" in Jehovah's organization and all they had to go through to remain faithful. We will forever remember and cherish those moments. May Jehovah keep brother Sierra in his memory with the assurance that we will meet again.

Luis was a great teacher because he was always learning himself and was always ready to share the things he learned. He taught us the importance of not taking for granted the spiritual gifts we have been given and to never stop working hard at getting better. We will miss his smile and his laugh so much. We look forward to seeing him again in the near future when we can enjoy endless blessings together. Psalm 37:29, Isaiah 25:8

I was blessed to have been able to share with my dear friend Luis the last few years of his life.
I loved you and your family , learned what it means to be a faithful loving husband, father, friend ,brother and son.
Your jokes your contagious laughter and sayings are something I will always remember I hope I was true and a loyal friend to you until the end. When we meet again in the new world where there is no more sickness I cant wait to continue our friendship.(apocalipsis 21:3,4)
