OBITUARY
Manuel Fernandez was welcomed to heaven on January 27, 2023, at the age of 94. He was born on September 22,1928 in Wappingers Falls, NY, the son of the late Manuel A. Fernandez and Mabel Daniels. He was married to the late Genevieve Rosco. He is survived by his children; Wanda Sherman and Roberta Myers; two grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
He proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War era. He was an avid karaoke singer and loved dancing. He was also crazy about any Western movies. He was Sargent at Arms with the Hound Dog Club in Beacon, NY which hosted several clam bakes of which he lived for and enjoyed immensely. He was the greatest fan and cheerleader for the NY Yankees. Manuel was a professional spray painter for many years at MacBeth Kollmorgen in New Windsor, NY from which he retired.
He is predeceased by the love of his life, Antionetta (Anne) Ciancanelli; two sons, Michael and Manuel John Fernandez; Granddaughter, Brenda Shaffer; Two brothers, Robert and Richard; Sister, Reverend Bernice West.
Manuel will be remembered for his jolly laughter and never-ending smile. He was very humorous when sharing his life adventures and making everyone laugh. He had a way of making things light and you were glad to be in his presence. He was compassionate, making life more enjoyable.
