OBITUARY
Margaret Josephine Garnot 96, A longtime resident of Wappingers Falls NY, Passed away on Monday February 20, 2023 with family at her side. Born in Beacon NY July 8, 1926, to Peter and Josephine (DiCamillo) Sylvester. She Attended Beacon schools and was employed as a seamstress at Aero Leather where she made bomber jackets for the US Air Corps. She also worked as an amazing seamstress for Krakower Fabrics. Margaret was married to Nicholas Garnot on June 15, 1947. She was predeceased by her husband where they were married for 60 years. Margaret resided in Wappingers Falls NY in the home her husband built and where they raised their 3 children, Vincent Garnot (Paula predeceased), Bernadette Diorazio (Phil), David Garnot (Alison). She was predeceased by her brothers Henry, Concezco, Rudolph, of Beacon and Francis of California. A sister Helen Percacciolo. She has 6 grandchildren, Eric, Kara, Justin, Nicole, Briana and Steven, who she loved and cherished very much. She was blessed with 9 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survived. Margaret enjoyed cooking, baking her fabulous Christmas cookie, sewing, and crocheting (especially doilies), Shopping with her sister and taking her grandchildren on “Just The Girls” shopping sprees was something she enjoyed thoroughly. Also, playing Lotto and the daily numbers, and being an avid Yankee fan were her favorite past times.
