OBITUARY
Peter Ian Polirer passed away in Somers, NY on May 14, 2022 after a long and well-fought battle against cancer. He was 60 years old.
Peter was born on December 27, 1961 to Frances ("Frankie") and Ivan ("Ozzie") Polirer in Peekskill, NY. On June 26, 1988, Peter married Debra Gasthalter, the love of his life.
Peter worked at Entergy-Indian Point (formerly Con Edison) in Buchanan, NY from 1987 until retiring in 2020. He was a proud member of Local 1-2 U.W.U.A. for many years.
Peter is survived by his wife Debra Polirer, his daughter Laura Polirer, his son Evan Polirer, his sister Sarah Polirer and his mother Frances ("Frankie") Polirer. He is predeceased by his father Ivan ("Ozzie") Polirer. Peter will also be deeply missed by his sister-in-law Julie Spearrin, his brothers-in-law Tim Parshall and David Gasthalter, as well as his many cousins and all the rest of his extended family, co-workers and friends. His absence will be felt year-round, but especially during the family's holiday gatherings which will be bereft of his stories, jokes, and warm presence.
Graveside service and burial will take place on Tuesday, May 17 at King David Cemetery in Putnam Valley, NY.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I've known Peter since ˜73. My wife and I went to Lakeland High School with his sister and I also worked with him at Indian Point He was a good man and he was taken way to soon. Our hearts go out to you and the family in this time of grief.
