OBITUARY
Peter J. Csizmar, 78, a lifelong resident of Dutchess County, NY passed away peacefully at his home on March 1, 2021. He was born on January 21, 1943 to Peter J. Csizmar Sr. and Marjorie H. Moak. Peter spent most of his life in Wappingers Falls, NY and attended Wappingers Central School. In July of 1963, Peter enlisted in the United States Marines after completing book camp. He was stationed in Hawaii with an Artillery Battalion before he was sent to Vietnam. After his tour of duty in Vietnam, he spent the rest of his time in the Marine Corps at Quantico, VA and was honorably discharged. Peter was an active member of the VFW Post 5913. He cherished spending time there with his many friends and reminiscing about the old days. Peter had a love of automobiles for which he had many over the years. Peter also enjoyed his trips to Florida every year with his friends Jim, Steve, and Jimbo. He will be missed by many.
He is survived by his son Peter J. Csizmar III, brother Michael Csizmar both of Wappingers Falls, NY, grandson Michael Kelly of Melbourne FL, niece Stacey Viano (John) of LaGrange, NY, and nephew Eric Csizmar (Michaella) of Milford, PA.
At his request, he was cremated and no services will be held. Memorial donations may be made to VFW at https://heroes.vfw.org.
Pete and family, sorry for your loss , had a lot of good times with him, I'll miss him

Our Hearts Are Sadden by the loss of Peter and as Mike would call him Big Pete...Eternal Love and Eternal Peace Surrounds Him. He Will Always Be Remembered In The Hearts Of Those That Love and had the Pleasure Of Knowing Him..RIP Big Pete
