OBITUARY
Raphael “Ralph” James Guzman, age 64, passed away on Sept 17th 2022 after a hard battle with cancer. His final days were spent surrounded by his family.
Ralph was born on April 18, 1958 in the Bronx, NY and lived there for most of his life. Ralph loved watching sports, listening to rock music and spending time with his family. He spent the later years of his life in service to his community; helping those in need to buy groceries and run errands. He referred to that as his job, though he performed these tasks out of kindness and a desire to be helpful. Coincidentally, his generosity evokes the words of another Ralph - “The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well.” - Ralph Waldo Emerson
Ralph Guzman was loved dearly by his many surviving brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews. He will be missed by many other family, friends, and those in the community he served. Although we are heartbroken by his passing, we are proud that his life was a life lived well.

My cousin Papo (Ralph) as we called him, was such a sweet soul. He was so loving and humble. I remember him coming over just about every Sunday to mom's house. He definitely loved to eat! He was so good to my son Dylan who was just a toddler at the time. I will miss him dearly. May he RIP! Love you Papo! Connie
I will miss Ralph beyond measure. He was with us often and with every visit all he wanted to know was what he could help me with. Which worked out well because what I liked to do was cook for those I love and Ralph loved to eat. Birthdays, Thanksgiving, Christmases, or just a weekend. Wanda and I always made sure he was with us. I did not know a more gentle soul. I wish there were more people in the world like him.
My brother Raphael, you once told me that the strength of men comes from God, no matter what life throws at you, even with suffering. your words of wisdom A men's strength comes from God.
