OBITUARY
ROSEMARY GERTRUDE ANDERSON, 83, of Cocoa Beach, FL formerly of Wappingers Falls, NY and occasionally unsunny Plattsburgh, NY died on Saturday, April 23, 2022.
Rosemary retired from her position as a Rehabilitation Assistant at Hudson River Psychiatric Center and was the owner of Mother of Bride Wedding Consulting in Hughsonville, NY. She was a member of the Ladies Home Bureau of Riverview Village where her creative side was on full display. She enjoyed dancing, walking on the beach, enjoying life, laughing with friends. She loved her grandchildren and most recently her great-grandson above all else.
She was born on January 15, 1939 in Sharon, CT the daughter of Oscar and Margaret (Horan) Anderson. She graduated from Dover Plains High School and later went on to receive her Associates degree from Dutchess Community College.
She married Francis Key Scott, Sr. on August 17, 1957 and well, unfortunately, that didn’t work out but they had some awesome children. She is survived by her daughters and son-in-laws, Theresa and Rick Howe of Wappingers Falls, Kathy and Glen Walker of Center Moriches, NY, Liz Elmendorf of Wappingers Falls, NY and Peggy and Mark Perkins of unsunny Plattsburgh, NY. Also a sister Patricia Anderson of Arizona, a brother Richard Anderson of Oregon and an estranged sister Mary Anderson location unknown. The loves of her life, her grandchildren, Sean Scott, Michael Scott, Melissa (Howe) and Sid Dabbara, Jess Howe, Alex Walker, Matthew Perkins, Dale Elmendorf, Sam Perkins, Kay Walker, Scott Elmendorf, Liam Perkins and her great-grandson Knox Dabbara. Also, seventy plus fantastic nieces and nephews.
Rosemary is predeceased by a son Frank Scott, Jr. and a grandson Brian P. Scott and five brothers.
Calling hours will be held at Delehanty Funeral Home in Wappingers Falls on Sunday, May 1 from 2-6 PM. A Funeral Mass will take place at St. Mary’s Church, Wappingers Falls on Monday, May 2 at 10:00 AM.
