OBITUARY
Salvatore Cantone; 78 a resident of Pine Bush, NY went home to be with the Lord on March, 28, 2024. He had a deep and abiding faith. He attended church regularly at Mount Alvernia in Wappingers Falls and The Church of the Infant Savior in Pine Bush, NY. Sal was born in Ozone Park, NY on April 3, 1945. He was a veteran and served in Europe from 1966 to 1969. He moved with his family to the Hudson Valley in 1981. Sal is survived by his son, Salvatore IV; his daughters Karin Hanson and Christine Cantone-Parr. He is also survived by his three grandsons; Evan, Kristopher, and Colin. He leaves behind sisters; Susan Persans, Nancy Merriam, and Debra Salvato; and his brother, Richard Contone. Family and friends will gather on Thursday, April 4 from 4PM to 8 PM, at Delehanty Funeral Home, 64 E. Main St., Wappingers Falls. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, April 5 at 10:00 AM at St. Mary's Church, 11 Clinton St., Wappingers Falls. Internment will follow Wappingers Falls Rural Cemetery in Dutchess County.
