OBITUARY
Sarah Taylor passed away in Cortlandt, NY on January 2, 2022 after a well-fought battle against a long-term illness. She was 81 years old.
Sarah was born on June 23,1940 to the late TC Taylor and Laura Johnson in Bells, TN.
She worked at Unlimited Care as a Home Health Aide in Peekskill until 2020. She was a proud Jehovah Witness member for many years.
Sarah loved fishing, attending church and visiting her grandchildren, and traveling to visit family and friends.
Sarah lovingly raised her 3 children in Peekskill, NY. Mom/Grandma will be dearly missed by her children and grandchildren.
Sarah is survived by sons, Robert (Techeetah) Taylor and Larry (Keesha) Taylor and predeceased by daughter, Mildred (Billy) Frye and brother, John (Tunnie) Taylor.
Sarah will also be deeply missed by her surviving 3 siblings: Walter Mac (Willa) Taylor, O’Neil (Jean) Taylor, Venard (Martha) Taylor, her numerous nieces and nephews, and the rest of her large extended family. Her absence will be felt year-round, but especially during the family's regular large gatherings which will be bereft of her stories, jokes and warm presence.
In lieu of a memorial service, we ask that all family and friends leave a loving note of remembrance below.

I will miss Sarah and her warm personality, but she is only taking a nap. Jehovah will soon say "Sarah, come on out."
Sarah Taylor was a member of the South Peekskill Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses since 1993. She loved people and she wanted to help people in her community to come to know and appreciate God's word and the author of the bible-Jehovah God. As such, she was a zealous preacher of the Good News of the Kingdom of God. She had a humble and mild spirit that endeared others to her.
She had a way about her because she reflected beautiful qualities that she learned from her study of God's word such as love, patience, kindness, loyalty, and humility. Although a woman of very few words you knew that when she spoke, she spoke from her heart. Sarah was known for…
