OBITUARY:

Scott D. McGuire, a longtime Wappingers Falls resident passed away at his home on July 4, 2026; at the age of 57. He was born in Peekskill, NY on April 18, 1969, son of Betty Ann (Torhan) Miceli and the late Roger William McGuire. Scott graduated from Roy C. Ketcham High School, class of 1987.


Scott worked various jobs and in recent years he was a sale associate at Raymour & Flanigan Furniture Store in Poughkeepsie. He loved gardening and being outside. Scott was an avid swimmer.


Along with his beloved mother Betty Ann Miceli, Scott is survived by his brother Shawn McGuire, and his two half-sisters Nicole & Renata.


Along with his father Roger McGuire, Scott was also predeceased by his beloved dog Murphy in 2006.


His Family will gather privately at the Wappingers Falls Rural Cemetery, to lay Scott to rest. Please keep Scott and his family in your prayers during this most difficult time.

Rip Scottie We had some great times from high school to hanging with Karl Willie Judy Maria and myself I will always cherish thiose memories Untl we meet again brother. Keep an eye on your mother your step sisters and Dave Armstrong

Cookie, I am incredibly sorry for your loss. He loved you so much.

A piece of my heart went with him.

Such a great friend to me, my brother Will, and my sister Judy so many years ago.

I am so grateful we have stayed in touch through the years.

What a terrible, terrible loss for you Bettyanne and Shawn,his sisters . I've known Scott over 40 years ,what wonderful adventures memories and laughter we've shared I dont know where to start..He really was so special to me and I ll always be grateful for his love and friendship.
