OBITUARY
Stewart A. Hanford passed away in Poughkeepsie, NY on October 24,2021, after a well-fought battle against illness. He was 57 years old. Stewart was born on June 4, 1964 to Noreen Krieger and Stewart Hanford in Syracuse, NY. He worked at ASD, Terry Buick, and CarQuest as a parts manager in Poughkeepsie from 1982 until 2002. He was a founding member and Hall of Famer of the Apple Valley Softball League for many years. He was also a star athlete for football and baseball at Spackenkill High School. He was a very well-liked member of all these organizations for many years. Stewart loved giving his time to Croft Corners Fire House in Arlington for many years. He also loved to attend football, baseball, and Nascar events. Stewart was the most loyal fan to the Yankees, Steelers, and Dale Earnhardt, including Jr. Stewart was a true family man, he loved to be surrounded by all of his friends and family. Stewart leaves behind his two daughters, Chelsee Hansen and Jenna Hanford (Stephen Dorney); grandson Lucas; his dear mother Noreen Krieger; his dear brother Brian Krieger; his aunt and uncles, Darlene Townsend, Mark Hanford and David Hanford; his new nephews and nieces, Eric Hanford (Naomi Nunez and Maya Hanford), Keith Hanford (Allie Bopp), and Stephanie Jackson (Dylan Jackson, Oliver Jackson, Grayson Jackson and Riley Jackson). Stewart will be dearly missed by all of his friends and family. Stewart’s absence will be felt year-round, but especially during the family's large gatherings and holidays which will be short of his stories, jokes, and warm presence. Stewart A. Hanford is finally at peace and joining his younger brother Gregory V. Hanford and father Stewart A. Hanford Sr.
