OBITUARY
William “Billy” Secor
William Secor passed away in Newburgh, NY on December 27, 2021 after a brief illness. He was 66 years old.
He was born on March 7, 1955 to Phillip Richard and Fredella Marie (Bockis) Secor in Beacon, NY.
He worked at New Paltz Community College on the grounds crew until his retirement. He was a proud member of the Slater Chemical Fire Company in Glenham, NY for many years.
He loved going to the Rhinebeck Car Show with his friends every year. He also enjoyed hanging out with the “guys” at the firehouse. William liked collecting Matchbox cars and Hess trucks.
He will be deeply missed by his two siblings, James L. Secor and Phyllis D. Secor; his niece, Jamie Marie Secor, and nephew Michael James Secor and wife Wei; his great-nephew, Kyle Weller and great-nieces Camille and Lily Secor. He was predeceased by his great-niece Samantha Secor in 1993. He is also survived by his aunt and uncle, Donald and Ellen Higby, and numerous cousins.
Calling hours will be held at Delehanty Funeral Home on Sunday, January 2, 2022 from 4-7 PM. A funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary’s Church on Jackson St. in Fishkill on Monday, January 3, 2022 at 10:30 AM, interment will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in New Windsor.
